Our job as humans is to hold on to the thoughts of what we want in future, make it absolutely clear in our minds what we want, and from that we start to invoke one of the greatest laws in the Universe, and that’s the law of attraction. You become what you think about most.

Dear readers,
It is so nice to connect with you once again during the month of December. Pretty soon the New Year will be here and some of us will start the yearly process of writing our New Year’s Resolutions. But, before writing out new promises for the future and not achieving them, as has been the case in the past, why not try a different approach?
This December, I would like you to mentally prepare yourselves for your New Year’s Resolutions. In the past, you have, most likely, ‘mechanically’ written out a list of items you would like to achieve for the next year.
This method may work for some individuals who are very in-tune with their desires but the problem with the “listing” process, is that it is not connected to our subconscious. For the majority of people, it is very difficult to translate a list of dreams or goals into accepted reality.
For those of you who wish to have better luck this year, I suggest adjusting your efforts to begin with an approach which allows you to experience and accept your future, dreams through visualization.
If you can see it in the mind, you can see it in reality. That said, the visualization process must not be a sequence of images forced from your desire to visualize.
But rather, it must be an enjoyable experience. Check where you feel yourself reaching your desired dream. It’s like you are in the actual moment with smell, taste, touch, etc.
When you see and feel, as if you have already achieved your desire, your mind will think that you have hit your target. And, you will no longer feel the difficulty in reaching it. Without seeing and feeling, it is very difficult to cross over into the area of accepting your desires. Also, you may find yourself mentally stuck or blocked.
The visualization process allows the law of attraction to come into effect. The law of attraction says what you think about will appear.
So, at this point, ask yourself: what thoughts am I thinking? How often are these thoughts repeating? Are they positive or negative thoughts? What you think about will appear in your life. Thoughts that repeat in your mind will affect your personal perception and your attitude towards life.
There are many ways to reach the visualization stage. Some of you may find it very easy to visualize but others may find it a bit more challenging to get into the mental state of experiencing your desired goals. For those of you who are newer at visualization, I suggest creating a vision board. The vision board is, basically, a board filled with pictures and words/phrases which allow you to create a tangible collection of dreams. It connects you with the state of accepting your future and dreams.
Creating a Vision Board to Create Your Future:
Creating a vision board is a fun exploratory experience. Plan your vision board experience to take a few hours and can be a fun afternoon experience. Remember not to rush the process.
To create a vision board that leads to your future goal, here are some tips:
- Spend a few days flipping through magazines and collecting images of your dreams and goals. There are no wrong pictures. Any picture that appeals to you is an excellent choice. Do not be afraid to use pictures of items or experiences you may feel are not possible, nothing is impossible. You may also cut out key words or phrases that you want to attract into your life like “success” or “love”.
- Glue your pictures and phrases on the board. They do not have to be glued in any particular manner. Some may prefer a more ordered/neat approach while others may others may prefer the collage/random style.
- In the middle of the board glue a nice picture of yourself which reflects happiness in time.
- When your board is filled and dry, hang the vision board in a place that is in an open positive space where it is able to “breathe”. This space should be a place you can view easily and frequently.
- Visit your board frequently. Keep it as a point of reference to keep you positively grounded. Let the board help you to enter into your visualization and feel the reality of having your dream materialize.
Dear readers, I am so pleased to pass this wonderful means of mentally and physically connecting with your goals and dreams. With a vision board and visualization, it is much easier to stick with our New Year’s Resolutions once we have seen its true possibility.
This is a simple guide for you to take in the future. If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you so please connect with me!
